Hello readers,
I want to leave this one up to you.
Tell me. what are John McCain's top 5 accomplishments?
I've heard SO much about his POW experiences, and heard an awful lot about what he thinks about his opponent, but I'm still left wondering, what has John McCain done, what is it in his wealth of experience that are clear indications that he is the one to take this country by the reigns?

After 20 years service to his country, he is a retired naval officer. In that period of time he was awarded 17 military awards and decorations
He has served 5 terms (20 years) in the Senate
He did vote for the war, but also initiated the 9/11 Commission
4 years on the Indian Affairs Committee
He voted against Bush's tax cuts
In 1998 he took on the tobacco industry, to increase taxes to help states pay for their health care cost that were smoking related
He spent 2 years on the Senate Select Committee for PWO/MIA Affairs
For 14 years he has been Chairman of the International Republican Institute, an organization to support political democracy worldwide.
He co-sponsored the Aviation and Transportation Security Act, that federalized airport security
He co-sponsored the Climate Stewardship Act that introduced a cap and trade system aimed at greenhouse gas.
McCain Detainee Amendment prohibits inhumane treatment of prisoners
(Sorry, a bit more than 5)
Now, name Obamas
Ok let me try again..
What did he DO in his 20 years in the senate?
Voting for the Iraq war is number three?? Surely you can come up with a better list than this. That's a pretty clear example of terrible judgement.
Why isn't John McCain's campaign spending more time advertising his accomplishments in all 20 years he spent in the Senate? He must have done lots of fighting for regular Americans during all that time..
So I want to know specifically what he did.
I appreciate his time in the military, I appreciate his time in committees etc, but I want to know what he HAS DONE.
McCain's accomplishments should be able to speak for themselves w/o using Obama as a measuring stick.
Since McCain's Committee membership was mentioned, I thought I'd ask, why is it that Obama is a member of the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs yet McCain isn't a member at all, while he waves his POW flag all over in the air?
I really am looking for a solid convincing top five list accomplishments. Of course I'll post a top 5 Obama list, I just really am dying to know what half of the country is sold on about McCain. I'll make other lists soon, as well as a place to make alll the Obama/Mccain comparisons you're heart desires, cause there certainly is room for that.. just not what I'm looking for with this top 5 list. Trust me, I know it's hard to make comparisons from this side too, as you can see where I started this post.
So seriously, take your time, do your digging and tell me what are the 5 accomplishments of John McCain that impress you the most and inspire you to vote him as president?
I promise I'll be answering the same question, soon as I get some replies to this. I don't think John McCain's eats babies, I just don't think he should be our next president.
Nope...HA! not going to name anymore until you mention some of Obama's accomplishments.
I really and truely would like to know. What has he done, what has he accomplished. I am convinced he excite crowds, but I am not conviced he is can be president. I am pretty sure he isn't a baby eater either.
It takes a lot more than empty promises on a tax plan (that needs to be approved by congress) or promising to send thousands of dollars to families all over American (with the economic condition we are in will never pass)
It's a relatively simple question. What are John McCain's top 5 accomplishments?
If you want to compare Obama's tax plan to McCain's tax plan, go here, please.
I like some of the points you make here, Stat.. so I don't even want to say this.. but I really really do not like putting on my 8-year-old-hat to read and process comments like what you've just posted...
Alright, Look.
You are a spokesperson for John McCain. You are my blog's most vocal McCain supporter. Answering this question with "HA i'm not telling" isn't helping you or your candidate.
As I've said, i also will put together a list of what I think are John McCain's top 5 accomplishments, but I was thinking maybe John McCain supporters would possibly want to go first.
I'll absolutely give what I think are Barack Obama's top five accomplishments, but that's not what we're talking about here.
